Think Space Columbus is a resource of Your Management Team. Your Management Team was founded in 2009 to help entrepreneurs learn about managing, funding, and growing a successful business. Creating an event space for rent in Columbus that is open to the public was a perfect way to add to the endless list of resources available through Your Management Team.
The owners of Your Management Team, Mary McCarthy and Caroline Worley, are always thinking of new ideas to turn into reality. In 2011, as they were searching for a professional meeting space to host one of their popular funding events, they were not finding anything conducive to their mission. As Mary turned to Caroline to say, “Wouldn’t it be great if we had our own space?” a new concept was born: Think Space Columbus.
As with any business idea, the owners went back and forth on whether it was a good idea, and whether or not the timing was right. As a space became available near their current office, they decided it was the opportune moment to set the plans in motion.
Caroline and Mary are both firm believers that it is important to focus on what you do best as a business owner and to surround yourself with experts to help you in other areas. They employed help from a local decorator to pick the upbeat wall color, carpet, and accessories and were relieved to have assistance from another local entrepreneur to order appropriate furniture.
Their idea of creating a meeting room for rent is now a reality, and the space is now available for other businesses and organizations to host their own events and to develop their own brainchilds.
